This guide explains how to physically access the Micro USB connector that connects to the native USB port on the Spotter Bridge processor. This allows for directly accessing the Bridge serial USB console during firmware update bootstrapping, or performing USB DFU updates to the Bridge in order to update its Bristlemouth bootloader.
5mm hex wrench / key / driver (one is supplied in Spotter accessories kit).
Computer with available USB port.
USB cable with USB micro-B on one end:

Remove the transparent Spotter lid and turn the Spotter OFF.
Carefully pull the electronics enclosure out of the hull using the black rubber handle.

Carefully unclip the 5 red solar panel cables, Bristlemouth cable, and barometer cable from the side of the electronics enclosure.
<aside> ⚠️ Do not unplug the connectors, just pull them out of the black clips. Note the images below do not show these connectors in place.

Using the 5mm wrench, loosen the two captive screws on the battery cover until it can be removed.

Unseat the battery by releasing the velcro strap, and carefully set the battery aside.
Plug the Micro USB cable into the port revealed under the battery, and the other end of the cable into your computer.

Turn the Spotter ON.
On Bristlemouth versions below 0.11.1, it is necessary to plug the USB cable in before the Bridge processor is powered on in order for it to establish a USB serial connection.
You can now establish a USB serial connection and/or perform updates via USB DFU just as you would for a Bristlemouth Mote.
